After watching the touching story of a 10-year-old boy, Jaspreet Singh, who sells rolls on the streets of Delhi to support his family after the death of his father, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor stepped in to sponsor the boy's education. Jaspreet and his sister Taranpreet Kaur also received support from state leaders like Anand Mahindra, AAP MP Jarnail Singh, and local party leader Rajiv Babbar.
He wrote, “With a smile on his face, he’s facing life ahead and all that will come with it. I salute this 10-year-old for having the courage to stand up on his own two feet and take over his father’s work within 10 days of his passing away. I would love to help him out with his or his sister’s education; if anyone knows about his whereabouts, do let me know.”
This viral video, first shared by food vlogger Sarabjeet Singh last week, showed how Jaspreet, along with his 19-year-old cousin Gurmukh Singh. They started their family's food cart after his father succumbed to cerebral tuberculosis last month. After the tragic losss, Jaspreet and his sister decided to return to their mother's hometown in Punjab and live with their aunt.
Arjun had recently shared his look from the film with the caption,“Singham ka villain! Feeling on top of the world being a part of hit-machine Rohit Shetty sir’s cop universe! I promise you there will be mayhem #SinghamAgain.”
