PRABHAS' KALKI 2898 AD NIZAM RIGHTS SOLD FOR A RECORD PRICE

Ever since the new release date of Kalki 2898 AD has been unveiled (June 27, 2024) a couple of days ago, fans of Prabhas have started trending the word 'countdown begins.' As the futuristic sci-fi thriller is reading for release, the makers of Kalki are also sealing the agreement deals with distributors and exhibitors in various areas. A step in that direction is Kalki’s distribution rights for Nizam area.

Global Cinemas Bags Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD Nizam For 65 Cr

Global Cinemas, a subsidiary of Asian Cinemas, has acquired the theatrical distribution rights for the Nizam region of Kalki. Apparently, the filmmakers recently sealed the deal for around 65 crore. This is perhaps one of the biggest deals in the recent times - in fact, a record for a Prabhas film. Kalki is coming right after the super success of Salaar as such trade pundits too are not expressing any surprise considering Prabhas’ huge market and business happened for his earlier films. Kalki business for many other areas has been sealed but the makers aren’t announcing due to certain contractual obligations. According to trade sources, the business deals in the Andhra region are expected to be disclosed shortly.

Kalki Hindi Rights

Earlier this month, there were reports that Bollywood producer Anil Thadani who is distributing Kalki in Hindi has reportedly paid an advance of INR 100 crore for the North India distribution rights of Kalki. Buzz is that the producer-distributor is giving his everything and going all out to make sure that the Nag Ashwin directorial reaches out to the nook and crook of North India. Anil Thadani had already initiated talks to block majority of the screens / theaters for June 27. He is expecting record footfalls at the box office.
