SHAITAAN BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 20: AJAY DEVGN STARRER RECORDS FIRST COLLECTION UNDER RS 2 CRORE

Ajay Devgn's film 'Shaitaan' saw its first major fall in collections, 20 days after its release. The film which has been unstoppable at the box office for nearly 3 weeks, saw its collections fall below Rs 2 crore for the first time.

Reports on sacnilk state that the thriller earned an estimated Rs 1.55 crore nett. This collection now pushes the overall total to an estimated Rs 132.5 crore nett and a gross collection of an estimated Rs 154.9 crore.

The film managed this feat with an overall occupancy of just around 10.77% occupancy.

Meanwhile, on the global front, the Vikas Bahl movie amassed an additional Rs 32.1 crore collection from overseas markets. This in turn pushed the film's worldwide total to an estimated Rs 187 crore.

This fall in numbers comes ahead of the releases of the two new films 'Crew' and 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire'. The Bollywood movie 'Crew' starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon is gearing up to make a splash at the ticket windows this Easter weekend. Meanwhile, the next chapter in the Monsterverse saga is expected to rake in the big bucks at the Indian box office, much like its original.

Interestingly, this drop in numbers also comes at a time when rumours are abuzz about the makers gearing up for a sequel to the hit film. Rumours are rife that both Ajay and Vikas are happy with the response the film has received and may just push for the new film to go on floors in a few months.
