Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt starrer "The Fall Guy" has made a solid start at the Indian box office, but it failed to take over the top spot. The action film failed to beat Ajay Devgn's four-week-old "Maidaan" at the box office.
According to early estimates shared by sacnilk.com, "The Fall Guy" earned a nett collection of approximately Rs 2.41 crore in its first three days in India. The film opened on Friday with collections of around Rs 50 lakh and witnessed growth on Saturday, earning an estimated Rs 92 lakh. It failed short of the Rs 1 crore mark on Sunday, earning a collection of approximately Rs 99 lakh. According to early estimates, the film that has been replying heavily on word-of-mouth, raked in an estimated Rs 20 lakh. As a result, the total collection of "The Fall Guy" now stands at approximately Rs 2.41 crore in the Indian markets.
Despite its promising start, "The Fall Guy" was unable to secure the top spot at the Indian box office, as it was overtaken by Ajay Devgn's sports drama "Maidaan", which amassed an estimated total of Rs 2.8 crore, maintaining its stronghold over the Indian audience.
Directed by David Leitch, "The Fall Guy" also faced challenges in the international market. While it opened below expectations in the US with a collection of $28.5 million, the film managed to earn an additional $36.9 million from overseas markets, resulting in a global total of approximately $65.4 million.
Meanwhile, another Hollywood release, the horror film "Tarot," recorded a weekend collection of approximately Rs 1.06 crore in India. Internationally, "Tarot" garnered a total of Rs 6.5 million.
