BISON KAALAMAADAN: FIRST LOOK POSTER OF MARI SELVARAJ’S NEXT WITH DHRUV VIKRAM UNVEILED

It was earlier reported that Mari Selvaraj and Dhruv Vikram are coming together for a project. The movie went on floors a few months back, and now, the director has revealed the title along with the film's first look poster. Intriguingly titled Bisaon: Kaalamaadan, the poster features a bulked-up Dhruv Vikram in a crouch start posture. Behind him is a humongous statue of a bull, which looks like a native god of the village.

Dhruv Vikram is playing a Kabaddi player in the film, which like all of Mari's movies, is set in a rural village. The actor went through training in the native game and bulked up for the role. Like Mari's previous ventures, Bison is also based on a real-life story.

Earlier, in an official press statement, Mari Selvaraj stated, "This film will be a raw sports drama which goes back to the roots of Kabadi and to be working with Dhruv, a strong talented youngster will definitely add up different perspectives to the film. It is with no doubt I say that this film will be an important milestone for all of us.”

Mari and Pa Ranjith are frequent collaborators of music composer Santhosh Narayanan. However, after the fallout between rapper Arivu and Santhosh, Ranjith who supported Arivu in the issue, stopped collaborating with the composer. Since the film is produced by Ranjith, Narayanan is not part of the project. Instead, Nivas K Prasanna, who has composed for films Theggidi, Takkar, and Kootathil Oruvan, is roped in for Bison.

Ezhil Arasu is handling the camera, while Sakthi Thiru has been roped in for editing. Anupama Parameswaran, known for Premam and Tillu Square, is the female lead of the film. Other cast details of the movie are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Mari Selvaraj's Vaazhai is yet to be released. The film was wrapped months ago and will premiere on Disney+Hostar. The release date of the movies hasn't been announced.
