'FAMILY STAR' BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 13: VIJAY DEVERAKONDA'S FILM STRUGGLES TO DRAW PEOPLE INTO THEATERS, EARNS RS 27 LAKH

Vijay Deverakonda's much-anticipated collaboration with director Parasuram Petla for 'Family Star' hit theaters on April 5, marking their reunion after the box office success of 'Geetha Govindam' in 2018. However, despite the initial buzz, the film struggled to live up to expectations. Opening its box office account with Rs 5.75 crore on the first day in India, 'Family Star' faced a noticeable decline in collections thereafter.

On April 17, Sacnilk reported a meager collection of an estimated 27 lakhs for the film. By its thirteenth day in theaters, the occupancy rate had dropped to 17.26 percent. The total collection for 'Family Star' stands at Rs 20.32 crore in India.

However, Vijay Deverakonda later clarified that no action was taken against negative reviewers or critics, dispelling earlier reports.
