'FAMILY STAR' BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 14: VIJAY DEVERAKONDA STARRER EARNS JUST RS 18 LAKH ON THE SECOND THURSDAY

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur collaborated for the first time in Parasuram Petla’s recent film 'Family Star,' which had a theatrical release on April 5. The movie had a decent opening day collection of Rs 5.75 crore but later started facing fewer footfalls in theaters.

According to sacnilk, on April 18, 'Family Star' earned an estimated 18 lakh in theaters. The total collection in India for the movie as of now is Rs 20.52 crore. On day 14, it experienced a 15.21 percent occupancy rate for the Telugu version. The movie had a decent performance during its first week in theaters. However, its performance declined significantly in the second week, with earnings dropping to a range of only Rs 40 to Rs 50 lakh.

Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram Petla collaborated for the second time for this movie after the 2018 hit film 'Geetha Govindam,' starring Rashmika Mandanna. The actor was initially optimistic about the success of the film but later faced criticism for being repetitive and monotonous with his choices.
