KALKI 2898 AD POSTPONED? HERE'S WHAT WE KNOW
Kalki 2898 AD, headlined by Rebel star Prabhas, is undoubtedly one of biggest releases of 2024. The sci-fi entertainer boasts of big names in its star cast including, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Prakash Raj and Disha Patani.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film's posters and promos have created excitement among fans and heightened expectations of movie buffs. However, there is now speculation that there may be a delay in the release of the film.

Kalki 2898 AD postponed?
The Prabhas-starrer is officially set to release on May 9, 2024. However, new reports state that the producers of the film, Vyjayanti Movies, are holding talks with a few distributors to lock the release date of the film after the elections. They are looking at the last week of July or the third week of August as the new release date.
The film may be postponed due to unforeseen delays in the post-production work, reports claim. The director and the producer want to take more time to bring out a quality product, justifying the hype around the film which is rumoured to be made on a budget of Rs 600 crores.

Previously titled Project K , director Nag Ashwin’s mythology-inspired, sci-fi film Kalki 2829 AD, went on to create headlines last year, after it became the first Indian film to have a title reveal and panel discussion at the Comic con, San Diego.
On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD released the name of Prabhas's character from the film. The makers dropped a brand new poster featuring Prabhas in a never-seen-before look, and revealed his name as Bhairava.
