MANI RATNAM'S THUG LIFE UNIT TO SHOOT IN DELHI UNTIL MAY 12
Work on ace director Mani Ratnam's action extravaganza Thug Life, featuring actor Kamal Haasan in the lead, is progressing at a brisk pace in Delhi.

Sources close to the unit say that the unit, on Sunday, filmed some important sequences in the Sanket Mochan Hanuman Temple. Seen along with Kamal Haasan at the shoot were actors Silambarasan and actress Abhirami.Sources in the know say that the Delhi schedule is to go on until May 12 after which the unit is to fly to London to can some important sequences. The team plans to finish the entire shooting portions either by the end of June or the beginning of July. The sources also claim that the unit is making an effort to ensure the film gets released in 2024 itself.

The film has huge expectations riding on it as Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan are working together on a film almost 36 years after making the cult classic Nayakan.The film, which is being produced by three of Tamil cinema's top production houses -- Madras Talkies, Raaj Kamal Films International and Red Giant Movies -- will feature a host of top stars and have some of the finest technicians in the industry working on it.
Apart from Kamal Haasan, Joju George and Nasser, the film will also feature Silambarasan, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik and Trisha among others.
Mani Ratnam's production house Madras Talkies, while announcing the commencement of the film's shooting on social media, had described the film as "an epic tale of power, rebellion, and triumph."
The film has music by A R Rahman and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran. It will have editing by Mani Ratnam's trusted editor Sreekar Prasad and stunts by the stuntmasters, Anbariv.
