The teaser released to make this announcement, showcasing STR in 'Sigma Thug Rule,' indirectly confirmed Silambarasan's involvement in the project.

Initially, Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salman were slated to play significant roles in 'Thug Life.' However, they were reported to have withdrawn from the film due to prior commitments. This news remained unconfirmed until the recent update from the 'Thug Life' team. The latest announcement, while confirming the update on May 8, conspicuously omits the names of Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salman, strongly indicating their departure from the project.

While anticipation builds for Silambarasan's character poster, set to be unveiled on May 8 to officially confirm his role in 'Thug Life,' a picture of him with Kamal Haasan on the film's set has already confirmed his involvement. This image also provides a glimpse of Silambarasan's character. Currently, 'Thug Life' is being shot in Delhi, with the latest schedule slated to last for a week.
