XIAOMI IS ROLLING OUT HYPEROS UPDATE FOR THREE REDMI PHONES

Xiaomi India has announced the rollout of HyperOS for some Redmi phones. The company has confirmed that it is now rolling out its custom Android skin for the Redmi Note 13 5G series. This includes three models, including a standard version, Pro and Pro+. With the latest software release, the company is promising to offer users better performance, and more useful features.

To recall, the Redmi Note 13 was announced earlier this year in January. So, it is impressive to see the company pushing out the latest software updates at a faster rate for its new phones. The Pro+ model with 8GB + 256GB storage was made available with a starting price tag of Rs 31,999. The Redmi Note 13 Pro with 128GB variant is available for Rs 25,999, whereas the standard model is priced at Rs 17,999.

This news comes just a few weeks after the company shared its rollout plan of the HyperOS for Q2 2024 on X. Other eligible devices include Xiaomi 11 Lite, Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 10, Redmi K50i, Redmi 12, Redmi 11 Prime, Redmi 13C series, Redmi Note 11 series, and Xiaomi Pad 5.

HyperOS: A quick look at features

The HyperOS interface has a fresh new look, inspired by vibrant life colors. Xiaomi has added a brand-new font called Mi Sans, which supports 600 languages and 20 different writing systems. Users can also personalise their lock screen with multiple options. Xiaomi's system apps now also have a softer, more textured feel that's easy on the eyes.

With HomeScreen+ support added, users will also be able to mirror their screen for a better experience. By long-pressing from the recent history, Redmi Note 13 5G Series users will be able to transform their apps into a split-screen layout. This feature enables users to interact with or monitor two different apps simultaneously. Additionally, users have the flexibility to convert multiple apps into a floating window. The notification panel has also been redesigned and it looks quite similar to iPhones. Similarly, the Files Manager has also been revamped to let users access files quickly.
