GREEN LINE ISSUE: SAMSUNG ANNOUNCES FREE SCREEN REPLACEMENT FOR SELECT GALAXY S SERIES PHONES IN INDIA

Samsung is reportedly offering free screen replacement for select Galaxy S series smartphone users who are affected by the green line issue, a display problem, in India. According to Samsung, there will be a one-time free screen replacement for select models of the Galaxy S20 series, Note 20 series, S21 series, and S22 Ultra smartphones.

According to a report by Android Authority, to avail onself of free screen replacement, the device has to be purchased within three years, and this scheme is only valid until April 30, 2024. Users who have an issue with their Samsung smartphone screen (select models) can book an appointment at the nearest Samsung service centre, where the device will be repaired for free.

List of devices eligible for free screen replacement:

  • Samsung Galaxy S20/S20+/S20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20/Note 20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 (SM-G991B)
  • Samsung Galaxy S21+ (SM-G996B)
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (SM-G998B)
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908E)

To be eligible, the smartphone should not have any physical or water damage, and besides the brand-new display, Samsung is also offering a new battery with every repair. If you have any of the aforementioned Galaxy S series devices with a green line issue, get your device serviced before the end of this month.

A few months ago, OnePlus also introduced a similar scheme for users affected by the green line issue, where the company either offered free screen replacement and in case of unavailability of spare parts, the company offered a cash voucher, which can be used to upgrade to a new OnePlus smartphone.
