Over Rs 100 cr dividend income, Infosys dividend 2024: NR Narayana Murthy co-founded IT giant Infosys declared its highest-ever dividend payout in the January-March 2024 quarterly results earlier this week. The Bengaluru-based firm said that its board of directors has recommended a special dividend along with a final one.

Infosys became the second biggest IT giant to announce its quarterly earnings after TCS. Its board of directors recommended its highest-ever dividend for the shareholders. Infosys board of directors has announced a final and a special dividend for the quarter.
“Recommended a final dividend of Rs 20 per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2024 and additionally a special dividend of Rs 8 per equity share," Infosys said in an exchange filing on Thursday. With this, the total payout over FY20 – FY 24 will be 85 per cent of Free Cash Flow, it added.
With this massive dividend payout, a member of the Murthy family is set to make gigantic gains of over Rs 100 crore.
Over Rs 100 Crore Dividend Income
Co-founder Narayana Murthy, his wife Sudha Murty and their kids Akshata Murty, wife of UK PM Rishi Sunak, and Rohan Murty are all promoters in the company. Of the four family members, Akshata holds the second-biggest stake in the IT major after her brother Rohan. As of the December 2023 quarter, Akshata owns 3,89,57,096 shares of Infosys.
At Rs 28 per share, Akshata’s dividend income from the company will be a whopping Rs 109 crore. Her brother, on the other hand, will make massive gains of over Rs 170 crore. Moreover, Rohan’s son and Narayana Murthy’s 5-month old grandson Ekagrah Rohan Murty will receive Rs 4.2 crore as dividend income.

Infosys Dividend 2024 Record Date
Infosys has said that the record date for the purpose of the Annual General Meeting and payment of final dividend and special dividend is May 31, 2024.

The Rs 28 dividend per share will be paid to the eligible shareholders on July 1, 2024.
