Premier League club Chelsea paid tribute to Abhradeep Saha, also known as "Angry Rantman" who died last month, at the half-time break of their match against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
X (formerly Twitter) user Tom Overend, a person who is reportedly closely associated with the Blues and had earlier confirmed that the 27-year-old would get a tribute during the half-time break on Sunday, shared a video in which the announcer at the venue could be heard paying tribute to Saha.
In addition to giving Saha a tribute at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea also mentioned him in their matchday magazine, where they called him "A die-hard Blue forever."
"Abhradeep Saha, aka, AngryRantman, Chelsea's passionate YouTube voice, fell silent. He tugged the hearts of millions with his fiery rants, infectious energy and dark humour. A die-hard Blue forever," the message in the magazine read.
The 27-year-old, who was a die-hard fan of Chelsea football club, was known for his passionate rants about the performances of the club across various competitions.
Saha was admitted to a Bengaluru hospital in March, where he underwent a major surgery but was facing complications. He died due to multiple organ failure, the news of which was shared by his family on Instagram.
