CABIN CREW OF AI EXPRESS ENDS STRIKE; AIRLINE TO REVOKE TERMINATION LETTERS FOR 25 MEMBERS

A faction of Air India Express cabin crew has opted to end their strike and resume duty, following assurances from the airline to address the concerns raised by the cabin crew, sources said on Thursday.

Furthermore, sources indicated that the airline has agreed to revoke the termination letters issued to 25 cabin crew members. Management has committed to reviewing these cases in accordance with service regulations.

Since Tuesday night, the airline owned by the Tata Group has canceled over 170 flights due to cabin crew members calling in sick. This action was taken as a form of protest against the alleged mismanagement within the airline.

The agreements to withdraw the strike and rescind the termination letters were reached during a conciliation meeting between representatives of the cabin crew and the airline. This meeting took place at the Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) in the national capital on Thursday.
