COMPLAINT AGAINST AKSHAY KUMAR'S 'JOLLY LLB 3' FOR MAKING FUN OF LAWYERS, JUDGES

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's upcoming film 'Jolly LLB 3' has mired into controversies after a complaint was lodged against the movie in Ajmer court. The complaint alleges that the film seeks to undermine judicial integrity. Ajmer District Bar Association President Chandrabhan Singh Rathod has filed an application in the court of Civil Judge Ajmer North.

Chandrabhan has lodged a complaint against the producer, director and actors for making fun of lawyers and judges. The complainants want the makers to stop making it, for which the court has been requested to issue a notice. The hearing of the case will take place today, May 7.

The Bar Association President said that he had taken this decision after watching the first and second parts of 'Jolly LLB'.

"It seems that the filmmakers, directors and actors do not respect the dignity and prestige of the judiciary of the country's Constitution at all. The shooting of Jolly LLB 3 is going on in the surrounding villages and areas including the DRM office of Ajmer, which will continue for several days. Even during the shooting of this film, the actors of the film do not seem to be at all serious about the image, prestige and dignity of the judiciary including the judges," the President said.

According to the Bar President, the depiction of lawyers and judges in the film seems unfitting when compared to real-life situations. This portrayal, seen as both comedic and disrespectful, diminishes the judiciary's standing and the integrity of legal practitioners. The Bar President stressed that the complaint aims to urge filmmakers to address these issues during the production process.

He further added how the scenes of kicking a lawyer, chasing him with a stick, the judge eating 'gutkha', and money transactions are not in any way in accordance with the dignity, dignity and prestige of the court, judiciary and lawyers and judges. The Bar President said that through the complaint, he will demand that this should be taken care of during the shooting of the film and a notice should be issued to the makers and a ban should be imposed on them.

Meanwhile, the first 'Jolly LLB film was released in 2013 and its sequel in 2017. In the third installment, it is expected that Akshay and Arshad will be seen at loggerheads, with Saurabh Shukla reprising his role as a judge
