'ENGINEERED NARRATIVES... TRUTH WILL PREVAIL': WEST BENGAL GOVERNOR ANANDA BOSE ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT ALLEGATIONS

West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Thursday denied allegations of sexual harassment. He termed them 'engineered narratives'. Notably, a temporary female employee of the Raj Bhavan level sexual harassment allegations against Bose. A complaint has also been filed by the woman.

Reacting to the allegation, the Raj Bhavan in a series of tweets said that the "truth will prevail." The Raj Bhawan tweeted, "To the Raj Bhavan staff who expressed solidarity with Hon’ble Governor Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose against whom some derogatory narratives were circulated by two disgruntled employees as agents of political parties, Hon’ble Governor said."

"Truth shall triumph. I refuse to be cowed down by engineered narratives. If anybody wants some election benefits by maligning me, God Bless them. But they cannot stop my fight against corruption and violence in Bengal," it added.

The allegations surfaced ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state. PM Modi is expected to reach Kolkata tonight. He will reportedly be staying at the Raj Bhawan.

Notably, the female employee who levelled the allegations has been working as a temporary staffer at Raj Bhavan since 2019.
