PUNJAB’S EX-CONG MLA GOLDY JOINS AAP

Former Congress MLA from Dhuri Dalvir Singh “Goldy” Khangura joined AAP on Wednesday and was formally inducted by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP Sangrur candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer. Upset at not being given a Congress ticket for LS polls from Sangrur, Goldy had resigned from Congress a day before.

Speaking to the media, Mann said Goldy was “young and promising”. “One feels disheartened when hard work is not recognised. In our party there is no high command or boss culture. I am inducting him into the party as my younger brother,” he said.
