SALMAN KHAN FIRING CASE UPDATE: ACCUSED ANUJ THAPAN, WHO ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, DECLARED DEAD, MUMBAI POLICE

There is an update in the Salman Khan firing case, one of the two arms supplier arrested from Punjab in connection with the firing at Khan's residence, has died. He'd attempted suicide in custody. Anuj Thapan, who was in a critical condition, has now been declared dead by doctors at the hospital, said Mumbai Police

Thirty-two-year old Anuj Thapan was arrested from Punjab on April 26.

Anuj and other accused Sonu Subhash Chander had allegedly supplied the weapons that were used in the firing outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra, Mumbai.

The two main accused, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who had allegedly fired the shorts at Salman Khan's home in the wee hours of April 14 are in the police custody.

The two were arrested from Bhuj after they fled Mumbai in a train. During the interrogation, the two had relieved they had thrown the gun in Tapi river from the railway bridge on their way to Bhuj.

The duo had also changed many clothes to avoid getting identified. The two are in custody until May 8.

Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol had taken responsibility of the firing outside the actor's home and in a social media post he had called it 'mere trailer.'
