WATER SPORTS COMPANY EMPLOYEES RESCUE 2 BOYS FROM DROWNING AT MUMBAI BEACH

Employees of a water sports company, Sanju Bamaniya and Siddharth Gaikwad, sprang into action to rescue two boys who were drowning at Mumbai's Versova Rock Beach on Sunday evening.

The boys, identified as Suraj Raut, 16, and Lakshman Kumar, 15, are residents of Andheri slums.

A high tide alert was issued for Mumbai beaches, leading to the closure of water sports activities at the Versova Rock beach.

The incident occurred when two friends ventured into the sea for a dip, while their four other friends remained on the shore. Beachgoers noticed the boys were swept away by high tides. Bamaniya and Gaikwad, utilising their company's jet ski, rushed to rescue Suraj and Lakshman. The local water sports company employees' timely action saved the boys' lives.

After the rescue, they were taken to a nearby hospital, and they are currently in a stable condition.

Bamaniya said that immediate action was crucial to save boys' lives.
