In a groundbreaking achievement, ILLIT has soared to the top spot among K-pop girl groups on Spotify, boasting a record-breaking 17,719,779 monthly listeners. This data comes from Chart Masters, a Spotify chart analysis site, revealing ILLIT's undeniable popularity in the music streaming world.

Trailing closely behind, BLACKPINK secured the second position with 17,657,601 listeners, while NewJeans and LE SSERAFIM followed suit with impressive listener numbers, claiming third and fourth place. (G)I-DLE rounded off the top five with 11,854,058 listeners.

Beyond the girl group category, the overall K-pop scene thrives on Spotify. BLACKPINK's Jennie emerges as the most-listened-to artist with a staggering 34,823,087 listeners, while BTS and Jungkook hold strong in second and third place. ILLIT's success extends beyond girl groups, securing a notable fourth place overall.

ILLIT's impact goes beyond streaming platforms, making history as the first K-pop girl group to debut on the Billboard Main Chart with their inaugural track. Domestically, they've swept major music charts, further solidifying their position as a rising force in the global music industry.

With ILLIT's meteoric rise and the dynamic landscape of K-pop, their achievement highlights the genre's evolving reach and influence, captivating audiences worldwide.

Illit is a South Korean girl group brought together by Belift Lab, a sub-label of Hybe, through the JTBC 2023 survival competition show R U Next?. The group is composed of five members: Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha. Their debut took place on March 25, 2024, with the release of their extended play (EP) titled "Super Real Me."

During the live broadcast of the final episode of R U Next?, the name I'll-It (previously) was unveiled. The significance of the name was explained as representing the freedom for each member to choose their own verb to place between "I'll" and "It," symbolizing their autonomy and ability to make independent decisions.
