EXPLOSION IN HAMILTON? LOCALS SAY LOUD BOOM HEARD IN CANADIAN CITY

Several social media users, mostly locals, said they heard a loud boom in Hamilton, Canada on Friday. These residents were left wondering if there was an explosion or fire in the port city on the western tip of Lake Ontario. However, authorities have not confirmed any report.

"Reports of a loud bang/explosion felt across several areas of Hamilton a short time ago. As per @HamiltonFireDep there were many calls placed to 9-1-1 but nothing has been found. @HamiltonPolice units also investigating," a person said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

"did I just hear another explosion in downtown Hamilton?" another one added.

We have reached out to the Hamilton Fire Department for explanation on the loud boom. Some Reddit users suspected there was a train collision in the city.

"People on the mountain and in Aldershot are saying they heard it. No way a train collision could be that loud? Idk i'm not an expert in train collision decibels lol," one person said.

"Heard it here at King & Ottawa. There was a lady walking her dog at the time and the poor pup was too scared to walk after that," a second Reddit user said.
