WILLIAM WILEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHOOTING: LOCKDOWN IMPOSED IN WEST RICHLAND SCHOOLS, SUSPECT AT LARGE

A shooting incident at William Wiley Elementary School prompted a lockdown at several schools in West Richland. Richland Schools sent a message to parents about the shooting at Wiley Elementary earlier today. The suspect fled from the scene after firing gunshots on the campus.

“During dismissal today there was a shooting at William Wiley Elementary School in West Richland. The perpetrator is still at large,” the Richard Schools brief statement to the parents read. It added that a critical lockdown was imposed at the elementary school Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, several security agencies including the police from around the Tri-Cities area are responding to the reports of the shooting at William R. Wiley Elementary School.

"Students and staff at our schools have been moved inside the buildings and placed into a critical lockdown. If students were loaded on buses but still at the school, they were moved into the school building," the message to the parents added.
