The International Cricket Council on Sunday, May 5 announced the schedule for the Women's T20 World cup, which will be held from October 3 to 20 in Bangladesh. As many as 10 teams will participate in the ninth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup across 23 matches.

The schedule was unveiled at an event in Dhaka, attended by Nazmul Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board alongside Geoff Allardice, CEO of the ICC and the Captains of India and Bangladesh women's teams- Harmanpreet Kaur and Nigar Sultana respectively.

The tournament will be held over 18 days in Dhaka and Sylhet. The 10 teams have been divided into two sets of 5 teams each.
