CHELSEA TO PAY TRIBUTE TO 'ANGRY RANTMAN' AT STAMFORD BRIDGE DURING PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH

The football supporters club in India and around the world were left in a state of mourning a few weeks ago when Abhradeep Saha, also known as "Angry Rantman" died due to multiple organ failure in Bengaluru.

The 27-year-old, who was a die-hard fan of Chelsea football club, was known for his passionate rants about the performances of the club across various competitions and the two-time Champions League winners will pay a tribute to him at half-time at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, when they take on West Ham United in a Premier League match.

"Announcement: I can confirm there will be a tribute to Abhradeep Saha at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. He will be in the match programme, and there will be a tribute announcement at half-time."

"Thank you to everybody that shared and supported to help make this happen," Tom Overend, a person who is reportedly closely associated with the Blues, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

Saha was admitted to a Bengaluru hospital in March, where he underwent a major surgery but was facing complications.  The news of his death was shared by his family on Instagram on Wednesday. Saha had about 4.8 lakh followers on YouTube and about 1.12 lakh subscribers on Instagram.

Interestingly, Saha's last Instagram post had nothing to do with a poor Chelsea performance, but was a rant on NR Narayana Murthy's 70-hour work week advice.
